My Reflections On Asma-Al-Husna (1)

Source: Internet
I saw on a post from 'Islam For Kids' on Facebook that shared a timely reminder.
At that point of time, it was 99 days to Ramadan and the prompt was for kids to learn the 99 names of Allah (S.W.T) - one name per day.
I thought that was really meaningful. And so, I decided to take this opportunity to reflect on HIS most beautiful names too.

With reference to The Holy Quran, as I read from here.
59:24 He is Allah, the Creator, the Maker, the Fashioner, the Bestower of forms. To Him belong the
Best Names, the most beautiful names. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorify Him and He is the
Almighty, Most Wise.
• 7:180 And (all) the most beautiful Names belong to Allah, so call on Him by them.
• Hadith: Allah's Apostle (PBUH) said, "Allah has ninety-nine names, and whoever enumerates on
them will go to Paradise." (Bukhari).

Useful reading material can be also be gathered from here.

The first 14 days in this 'countdown' has breezed past us, and so my catch-up reflections on the first 14 names of our Rabb begins here.

These are also some learning materials I gathered from here.
When adopting a particular name as Wazeefah (daily recital) add   (Yaa) before the name and remove the  (Al). For example,   (Ar-Rahmaan) must be recited as   (Yaa-Rahmaanu) and not as  (Yaa-Ar-Rahmaanu).
